Hurricane Helene Relief

North Carolina

Grassroots Aid Partnership is headquartered in Asheville, NC, which means the flooding of Hurricane Helene devastated our home community. GAP is working tirelessly to provide nourishing food, clean water, and fortifying aid to the survivors of the horrific flooding.

🍛 40,000 meals served and we’re still cooking!

Since 48 hours after the storm, GAP has been serving nourishing home-cooked meals to survivors, and we plan to keep cooking through the long-term recovery stage. Daily, we box up hundreds of meals and deliver them to the outer communities where the needs remain dire.

💧 2 million gallons of water provided, and we’re not done!

Ashville and the surrounding communities lost their access to Drinking water and Grey water. Some communities are expected to be without water for up to 6 months. GAP is installing temporary clean water systems at community centers, restaurants, nursing homes, and other critical locations.

🍏 $1 million in food and aid delivered so far!

Through GAP’s partnering model, we have brought in food and aid donations from conscious companies nationwide. Plus, we have been joining forces with many other local non-profits like Bounty and Soul and the pop-up farmers market to facilitate the ongoing delivery of goods to those in need.

Request A Meal Delivery

GAP knows that not everyone can make it to one of our feeding locations, so we are offering Meal Delivery.
